Well, this picture doesn't do it justice. I put up a piece of canvas last year and slowly painted on this. At first I started out using paint that my students had left from their projects. Eventually I moved on and started using my tubes of paint to paint with, I love doing that. After school started back up this year, I decided that I needed to be done. So, using some mixed media techniques I had picked up over the summer, I dove in and finished. The kids love it. Of course they have all seen it as a work in progress and it is nice to now have it hanging in the elementary.

This is my art journal, in progress. I got my inspiration and direction from Teesha Moore's Amazing 16 Page Journal. I am having fun so far. I will post the final product when I am done.

It's been a while

Although I don't always get my artwork done that I have started, I decided to start documenting the actual progress, this way, maybe I will be inspired to finish it. I have students that are being required to do it, so why not me? :p

This is an ink drawing that I did after being inspired by some artwork that I judged at the Art Fair in Panora. This has some cool things going on and students have some endless possibilities that they can do with this. This is a project where the people that want to succeed do, and those that do just enough to get by, have less successful pictures.

College was great, I got a lot done in a small amount of time. I have gone from always drawing to having to make time to draw. I really need to make more time.
